T.I. and Wife Arrested for Felony Possession of Controlled Substance

It seems like some people just never learn to stay out of trouble.  Last night T.I. and wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle was arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, T.I. was pulled over by police for making an illegal U-turn in his Maybach on Sunset Boulevard at about 10:30PM. 

Kanye West to Release New Song Every Weekend Unit Xmas

Kanye announced via Twitter that he will release a new song “every weekend until Xmas.”  The tracks will not be solely from his upcoming album due to drop November 16, 2010.  Kanye tweeted, “I’m calling it good Fridays. According to TMZ.com, R&B singer Faith Evans was arrested for DUI early last Sunday near Marina Del Ray, California.  Evans, once married to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. (A.K.A. Christopher Wallace), was stopped at a checkout point where police officers detected alcohol.  Evans was arrested for intoxication.

Inga Marchand) cannot keep out of trouble.  Last Friday Foxy Brown was indicted on charges of violating an order of protection from her 2007 confrontation with neighbor Arlene Raymond. Last month, Foxy Brown was issued an order of protection after pleading guilty in 2008 to menacing Raymond with her cell phone.

Fantasia Attempts Suicide Over Relationship with Married Man

Fantasia Barrino has been hospitalized due to an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid.  The overdose has been classified as a suicide attempt. According to police report, her manager Brian Dickens stated that Fantasia was "heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused" with her relationship with Antwuan Cook.

Fantasia is also named in a lawsuit between the married man and his wife, claiming the affair started in August 2009 and the couple has video taped their sexual encounters.  Fantasia has Antwuan Cook's name tattooed on her shoulder.

Clement Brown Jr., owner of clothing line Laundry Money, is suing Rapper Soulja Boy for stealing the company's catchphrase.  Brown filed a lawsuit in Michigan accusing the artist, his S.O.D. Money Gang Entertainment company and several associates of stealing the firm’s slogan and using it as their “code of honor.”

Clifford Harris), 29, has married longtime girlfriend (Singer/Actress), Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, 34.  The couple exchanged vows at a Miami Beach court two weeks ago.  However, the couple plans to repeat their vows elaborate ceremonies in 3 cities.  This Saturday the couple will take their vows with family and friends on a small island off the coast of Miami.

Wyclef Jean will soon announce his candidacy for the President of Haiti.  According to former Deputy, Pierre Eric Jean-Jacques, the rapper/musician will run as part of his coalition in the November 28 election.  Wyclef's representative, Cindy Tanenbaum, declined to confirm the report; however, Wyclef has planned an announcement this Thursday night in Haiti.

Last weekend, Mary J. Blige debuted her own fragrance on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and sold a record 50,000 bottles.  This was the fastest selling perfume to date generating $2.7 million in sales.  Diddy previously held the record for most sales of his "I Am King" cologne.  Blige's foundation, FFAWN (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now) received $1 for every bottle sold, totaling $50,000.

DMX Heads Back to Jail for 90 Days

DMX is on his way to jail again, just after his recently release from an Arizona jail last May on fraud, drug, and animal cruelty charges. DMX turned himself in for a previous reckless driving charge in Los Angeles. According to his attorney, DMX surrendered to police to begin a 90-day prison sentence because of a 2002 reckless driving charge.

Last year a woman (Miriam Lee) filed a paternity suit against Brian McKnight, saying he was the father of her 14 year old son.  However, DNA tests have cleared McKnight against being the father of Miriam Lee’s son. McKnight initially had refused to respond to the lawsuit, so the judge issued a default judgment against him which included 14 years of back child support of $341,640.

The 73 year-old Blues guitarist and singer Phillip Walker has died. Marc Lipkin, publicity director for Alligator Records, says Walker died Thursday of heart failure in Palm Springs, reports the Associated Press.  Walker performed for more than 50 years, recording many solo albums. He had toured with zydeco legend Clifton Chenier for two years.
