Lil Wayne Says He's Looking Forward to Jail

In an interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine Lil Wayne said he's actually looking forward to going to jail. Now isn't that just special. He's the only guy on the planet that is looking forward to going to jail. Lil Wayne is quoted saying, "This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody I can talk to can tell me what that’s like.....I just say I’m looking forward to it.” Lil Wayne was sentenced for 1 year in jail for gun possession from a 2007 arrest. He's to begin his sentence on February 9, 2010.

Rapper Mystical Preparing for Come Back After 6 years in Prison

Rapper Mystical (A.K.A. Michael Tyler) is out of jail after serving 6 years in prison. He was found guilty of forcing a female staff member to perform sex acts. Mystical's two bodyguards were also sentenced to 3 and 4 year terms. Mystical is to perform on Feb 10, 2010 in Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Louisiana. Listen to the interview below.

Teddy Pendergrass Dead at Age 59

Soul Singer Teddy Pendergrass died yesterday in Philadelphia at the age of 59. He was battling colon cancer and had surgery 8 months ago but was unable to recover.

The soul singer had suffered a spinal cord injury from a car accident in 1982 and was paralyzed from the waist down. He spent 6 months in a hospital however; 1 year later recorded the album "Love Language."

Chris Brown Praised by Judge for Community Service and Counseling

Chris Brown has been a very good boy lately. He was praised by Judge Patricia M. Schnegg for being on his best behavior since being sentenced to probation for his felony assault case where he assaulted then girlfriend Rihanna. Brown has completed more than 100 hours of community labor and 7 domestic violence counseling sessions. The judge stated, "We have a progress report and it's extremely favorable. That's excellent."

After two months of his passing, Michael Jackson will finally be laid to rest. The King-of-Pop is scheduled to be buried today in a private sunset ceremony at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Michael Jackson is to be interred at a 7 p.m. service inside the cemetery's massive Great Mausoleum. The mausoleum is an elaborate neo-classical building inspired by Genoa's famous Campo Santo.

Last night Larry King interviewed Chris Brown about him assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. Chris refused to answer specific questions about the assault telling Larry King that he was ashamed of himself but wouldn't go into the details of the evening out of respect for Rihanna's privacy. Chris wore a blue sweater with a goofy blue bow tie and appeared with his mother (Joyce Hawkins) and lawyer (Mark Geragos). See video of interview below.

R&B singer Chris Brown was sentenced yesterday to serve 5 years probation and to spend more than 1,400 hours in "labor-oriented community service" for assaulting his pop star girlfriend, Rihanna. Additionally, Chris Brown must complete domestic violence counseling and has a restraining order in place, requiring him to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards if the two are at the same industry event.

Michael Jackson Dead at 50 Years Old

The Los Angeles Times have reported that Michael Jackson have died today after being rushed to the hospital (Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center). It's reported that the King of Pop wasn't breathing when the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 PM. CPR was administered and for awhile he was in a coma. It seems Michael went into cardiac arrest. Rest in peace Michael!

Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

R&B singer Chris Brown arrived in court this week, arriving 30 minutes after his scheduled arraignment in Los Angeles. With his lawyer present, Brown entered a plea of not guilty to two felony counts in connection with the beating of fellow R&B superstar Rihanna. A preliminary hearing has been set for April 29.
